This study has been conducted to know effect of paclobutrazol[(2RS, 3RS)-1-(4-chlorophenyl)4, 4-dimethyl-2-(1, 2, 4-triazol-l-yl) pentan-3-of], an inhibitor of gibberellin biosynthesis, on reducing sulfur dioxide (SO₂) injury of apple seedlings (Malus domestica Borkh.). Paclobutrazol reduced shoot growth, stomatal resistance but increased transpiration. It also increased SO₂ tolerance of apple seedlings.
